Description:
Wiley No. 1 knife mill. Wiley mills are ideal for grinding animal and plant products (e.g. hair, leather, leaves, stalks and roots) but will also grind crystalline, fibrous, polymeric and amorphous materials. Mill has 5" x 5" reduced to 2.5" x 3" top infeed with slide gate. Has 2" x 3" side bottom discharge. The mill chamber is 7.75" in diameter and 3" deep for 141 cu in. Front of chamber swings open for easy cleaning. Rotor is belt driven by 1hp motor at approximately 575 rpm (unit is missing screen and screen tray). The four adjustable hard tool steel knives are bolted to a removable rotor. These knives work against six stationary knives bolted into the frame. Unit is capable of 50 to 1000 gram sample volumes. Requires 115 vac electrical supply.
